Thomas & Resie
Colby/Raul,
Thought I drop you a line on how Resie is doing and what we have been up to. She is grown to be a nice size girl, and I know she isn’t close to being done yet. We have done several obedience classes with her and she graduated all of them. Resie and I have gone the other direction with her “career”, instead of Schutzhund both of us are training for sheep herding. She loves it! She has great drive and work ethic that is needed for sheep herding, she also moves with fluid grace when working the herd (we are only working 3 sheep that are very quite or “light”). We are on our second month and are out in the fields every Sunday in the morning.
She gets to be very creative so she uses a lot of reasoning and thinking along with my commands to move her about the herd, she has made friends with so many different breeds while out at the farm we train at. She has at least half a dozen Border Collies, 6 to 7 Great Pyrenees, and 2 Belgian Trevs that she hangs out with, and gets plenty of time for swimming in the Pond. Overall she is a great dog, like all of the Canine Extreme, I am glad that I got her cause she has filled our lives with love, learning patience, and humor. Also her brother Cooper (NS Duck toller in the photo) and her are great companions for our growing family. As she progresses with sheep herding I will send a video of her in action, in the next 6 months we hope to go to a entry level trial. All I can say is if people are looking for a prospect sheep herding GSD I think they should look to Canine Extreme. You may wanna ad that to your website, Resie and I can hopefully provide the photos!
Here are the Kids!
